Campers participating in the Art of Science summer camp will investigate the natural wonders to be found in the Ozarks and explain their findings through writing, photography and multimedia art. Working independently and as part of a team, campers will learn about science and then express what they learn in various artistic ways. From bugs and bark, to fungi and flowers, campers will learn to see science in a different way, as well as expand their ideas of what art can be.
This is truly a hands-on camp, where personal expression is spotlighted and group dynamics expand ideas and insight on natural art and science. There will be endless opportunities to be inspired, as well as being the inspiration to others, which will all be showcased in the end-of-camp Art Show.
This camp is for students who will enter 9th, 10th or 11th grade in fall 2021.
