PhysZOU 2019

PhysZOU is a pro bono physical therapy clinic associated with the University of Missouri, Department of Physical Therapy. MU PT hosts one of the largest pro bono clinics in the country. Their mission is to provide physical therapy services to the uninsured and underinsured population of Mid-Missouri in order to empower patients to take charge of their health and well-being, while enhancing student learning through hands-on experience and research opportunities. A team of student physical therapists and licensed clinicians work together to improve each individual client’s function and quality of life. PhysZOU provides physical therapy students hands-on experiences that further enhance their clinical education as well as providing the opportunity to serve others. Additionally, PhysZOU provides faculty the opportunity to observe students’ skills in a professional clinical setting. In order to maintain confidentiality, all questions regarding referral to or treatment in the clinic should be directed to clinic staff. Please note that the PhysZOU clinic is open two days per week during the academic Fall and Spring semesters at MU. Clients may be placed on a waiting list.
