Join an interactive community event to discuss vacancy issues and explore potential solutions for St. Louis County! On Thursday, Sept. 16 at 6:30PM, community members will gather at the UMSL’s Touhill Performing Arts Center to engage with local housing experts, learn more about how vacant properties are currently addressed, and dive into large-scale solutions that we can implement to improve the lives of residents throughout the county.
Light refreshments will be served while participants engage in interactive activities. COVID-19 precautions in place for this event, and face coverings will be provided if needed.
Please note that the event will be recorded for future use at the 24:1 Community Conference, to be held virtually on Saturday, Sept. 25.
“The Vacant House Next Door” is hosted in partnership with the 24:1 Public Policy and Advocacy Council, Beyond Housing, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Neighborhood Vacancy Initiative, St. Louis County’s Problem Properties Unit, The Housing Partnership, St. Louis Realtors, the office of Missouri state Rep. Kevin Windham, and the Spanish Lake Community Development Corporation.
