Explore Life Beyond Earth: Where Aerospace Meets Biology!
Join us for a unique and brand-new hands-on summer camp combining aerospace engineering and biology to discover the possibilities of life on Mars and beyond! Learn about microscopic animals, build a rocket, put your skills the test - and lead your team to victory!
Camp activities:
- Discover Life: Put on a lab coat and embark on a scientific journey to answer the big question: what is life? Through experiments, you’ll learn how resilient worms and microbes thrive in extreme conditions similar to other planets. Analyze real soil samples to search for microscopic life forms that just might hold the key to understanding life beyond Earth.
- Build your rocket: Three, two, one…blast off! Design and engineer a rocket with your team and prepare for take-off. Then compete head-to-head to achieve the furthest distance and best accuracy in an exciting launch challenge!
- Create your shield: : Protect your capsule from the elements! With your team, build a “heat shield” that’s ready for space — your shield will be put to the test under extreme temperatures to see which one will survive the mission.
Space is Limited! Early registration is recommended. Campers will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon date of registration and when payment is received. Waiting lists will be maintained and filled in the order that they were received should cancellations occur.
