This session features extension faculty and farmers who have developed productive working relationships. We will learn how these relationships impact farmers’ food production capacity and advance innovation on the farm. We will also provide practical advice on how to develop fruitful relationships.
Topic: Extension & Engagement Week 2022
This session will provide an overview of the food production industry and major statewide trends. In addition, panelists will discuss some of the macro forces, research and work throughout the four University of Missouri System universities related to this industry, including changing food prices and consumer preferences, location decision-making and supply chain limits.
In this session, the panelists will explore the current state of resource availability and historical events that led to our current issues. We’ll end our discussion on how you can join the creative ways our communities are addressing the problem.
