Organized by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), National French Week is an annual celebration of all things francophone that takes French and francophone cultures out of the classroom. Through games and other fun and informative activities, we want to increase our community's understanding and appreciation of the French-speaking world.
This year all events will be on-line, allowing for participation by community members as well as UMKC alumni and friends all over the world. In addition to online games (Kahoot and Scattergories) there will be Zoom discussions on the on-going political protests in Algeria, on living and studying in France, and about colorful French swearwords, plus interactive posts and a cooking lesson via Instagram. Most of the activities will be in English.
