An Exhibition in Two Parts, June 1 - July 30, 2023
KCAI Gallery, Kansas City Art Institute and Special Collections Gallery, Third Floor, Miller Nichols Library
This exhibit presents Leahy’s works from 1986 until his death in 1994 and is coincident with the 40th anniversary of the first cases of HIV diagnosed and treated in Kansas City. Leahy’s papers, journals and artwork will be accepted into the collection of the Gay & Lesbian Archive of Mid-America (GLAMA) at UMKC Libraries.
The Kansas City Art Institute will host a concurrent opening reception in the KCAI Gallery at 6:00 pm. The events are free and open to the public.
