Arts in the Park & Mistletowne Market Festivals

Arts in the Park and the Mistletown Market festivals showcase fine artists and makers at Macken Park, nestled just north of the Missouri River. Each year, these events draw nearly 3,000 people from the region to enjoy live music, special musical guests, entertainers, street performers, artists, vendors, and food trucks. Arts in the Park and Mistletown Market festival support the local ecosystem of entrepreneurs, makers, and artists and have a broad impact on North KC. In addition, the events help fulfill the Community Arts Programs mission to promote and foster arts-based community and economic development.

Impact

These two festivals are an economic driver - boosting tourism, helping to animate cities, celebrating diversity, and improving residents' and guests' quality of life. They provide a platform to engage with broad and diverse audiences while playing a role in bringing art to the masses. They are also critical in providing access to the arts in local communities and a chance for the artists to meet the public.
