The UMKC Division of Diversity and Inclusion will host its annual César Chávez Lecture Series to honor Chávez and his accomplishments. Each year the Lecture Series brings in thought leaders to speak to the community in hopes of inspiring individuals to continue the legacy of Chávez.
For 2021, Yanira Merino, the National President of the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, will be speaking and Chris Hernandez, chief spokesman for the City of Kansas City, will moderate the discussion.
The free lecture will take place on Zoom on April 8th at 6:00 PM. Registration is required.
