Columbia Young Scientists Expo

The Columbia Young Scientists (CYS) Fair and Expo is an annual event at the University of Missouri that promotes STEM for people of all ages. The CYS Expo is a public event for all ages and features university, local, and state scientists, organizations, and clubs, each with a booth with demos, displays, and information.

Impact

The Columbia Young Scientists (CYS) Fair and Expo is an annual event at the University of Missouri that promotes STEM for people of all ages. This event has two parts: a science fair and a science expo. The CYS Fair features K-12 home school students through a partnership with the Mid-Missouri Co-op of Home Educators (CHE). The CYS Science Fair features students in three categories: Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade, with additional opportunities for high school students. The Expo, a public event for all ages, features university, local, and state scientists, organizations, and clubs, each with a booth with demos, displays, and information.
