Community MOVE Session

Move More Get More (MMGM) began as an after-school physical activity and nutrition intervention with Kansas City Public Middle Schools. While continuing this effort into the 2021-2022 school year, we are expanding opportunities to MOVE to the entire KC community.

MMGM will be sponsoring Yoga on the Vine, a FREE community yoga class held at the pavilion behind the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, near 18th and Vine. This class will be every Saturday and Sunday. Bring your family, friends, and a yoga mat! Follow @yogaonthevinekc for up-to-date details on class times.

MMGM will also be sponsoring, FREE ONLINE workout classes, hosted by NickiFit. Cardio Kickboxing Plus Tuesday at 6:30 pm, Body Sculpt Wednesday at 6:00 pm, FBC: Full Body Chair Thursday at 9:00 am, and Mixxedfit at 6:30 pm. Join online by following the link: https://www.nickifit.com/virtual-live-classes

Impact

COVID-19 has interrupted many parts of our daily life including how we gain physical activity. These sessions are intended to provide access to quality fitness instruction, particularly on KC's eastside, in a fun and community-building environment to improve the health of community members.
