The 20/20 campaign was initiated by The Friends of the Conservatory in 2018 with the goal of creating 20 new endowed scholarships, each with a commitment of at least $25,000, by the end of 2020. “We wanted the campaign to support new students, but also to tell a story of alumni,” Michael Henry, Friends of the Conservatory board member says.
Despite challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fundraisers were able to surpass the goal and create 27 new scholarships totaling over $1.2 million.
These scholarships will support students in music performance, music therapy, music education, jazz, theatre and dance who may not have been able to join the Conservatory without the assistance.
