Ecology in the Dark

A Journey into Cave Ecosystems

November 4, 2025 - 6pm
Event
Ecology in the Dark

Discover a world hidden beneath your feet. Missouri is home to more than 7,600 cave - each a gateway to a mysterious and delicate ecosystem. This year, the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center’s annual Whitney and Anna Harris Conservation Forum invites you to explore the rich biodiversity and intricate ecological relationships that exist below the surface. Join us at the Saint Louis Zoo for an evening of discovery as leading experts in cave ecology shed light on the species, science, and conservation efforts shaping these underground worlds.
