eSports Boot Camp

Summer Camps at S&T

July 13 - July 17
Event
eSports Boot Camp

High school gamers play their favorite games in a competitive, collegiate “eSports” environment, where they grow as part of a team, are exposed to group dynamics, and learn the importance of maintaining a well-balanced life.

Whether you are a novice gamer or a seasoned player, this summer camp is the perfect place to level up your skills, make new college-bound friends who share your passion, and embark on an unforgettable gaming adventure.

This camp is specially crafted for young gaming enthusiasts who want to take their gaming skills to the next level while making lasting connections with fellow gamers. Campers are coached in a well-rounded, collegiate eSports gaming experience, offering both skill development and personal growth opportunities. Coaching, provided by the Missouri S&T eSports team, is designed to boost students' self-confidence, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills, both in gaming and in life.

Esports often require teamwork, and this camp can help high schoolers develop strong communication and collaboration skills. Activities include in-depth discussions about game mechanics, strategies, and tactics, which can help campers become more knowledgeable players and are a great way for them to have fun and enjoy their passion for gaming in a structured and supportive environment. This camp may also introduce students to new games or genres they have not explored before, expanding their gaming horizons.

Camp activities include:

  • Play with your friends & make new ones
  • Become a better eSports competitor
  • Learn from top coaches and players
  • Push yourself & pursue your gaming passion
  • Explore well-being and a well-balanced student life

There are four team games that the camp will be playing. You will be able to select one of the following after you register:

  • Rocket League
  • Overwatch
  • League of Legends
  • Valorant

Space is Limited! Early registration is recommended. Campers will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon date of registration and when payment is received. Waiting lists will be maintained and filled in the order that they were received should cancellations occur.
