The UM System Engagement leaders, in partnership with the Center for Applied Research and Engagement Systems, are excited to announce the launch of the Engagement Mapping Dashboard. The Dashboard dives into the, over 12,000, UM System Engagements since Fall 2022.
The Engagement Mapping Dashboard draws on three main sources: Future Educator Impact, Faculty-led Programs, and Youth Programs and Participation.
Future Educator Impact provides an overview of how many UM System Education Students participated in Field Experiences and Student Teaching during the Fall 2022 – Spring 2023 school year. These students volunteered over 387,900 hours to classrooms across Missouri—time valued at over $12 million. Future Educator Impact also highlights the counties across Missouri where UM System Students participated in their Field Experience or Student Teaching.
Additionally, the Faculty-led Programs portion of the Dashboard highlights the number of engagements faculty and staff from each university participated in. These engagements include activities such as invited guest lectures, mobile aid clinics, and providing classes to community members.
The final portion of the Engagement Mapping Dashboard focuses on Youth Programs and Participation. This section of the Dashboard highlights the number of programs each university hosted during 2023, the number of youths in attendance, and the types of programs offered. For example, data on Missouri Scholars Academy, Kansas City Athletics VollyRoos, 2023 Aerospace Camp, and Acappellooza Summer Camp are included.
The UM System Engagement Mapping Dashboard is a great resource for both community members and UM System stakeholders. The Dashboard is a helpful source to see many of the ways UM System contributes to communities across Missouri. What are you waiting for? Check out the UM System Engagement Mapping Dashboard now!
