By popular demand, the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership proudly launches the Fundraising Mastermind, a unique, cohort-based program exclusively designed for senior fundraising leaders. This collaborative experience brings together a select group of professionals to tackle real-world challenges, share expertise, and unlock the power of collective knowledge—all in a supportive, lightly-facilitated environment.

Program Details

Topics for five lightly facilitated, discussion-based sessions will be curated by the participants at the first meeting to ensure we address exactly what is most needed right now. The focus of the sessions will be guided discussions, facilitated by Dr. Tom Vansaghi, to enable participants to share their experiences but also learn from expert guests who will be invited into the conversations.

Potential topics include:

  • Managing staff capacity, burnout, and retention
  • Diversifying fundraising revenue
  • Building cross-generational donor relationship
  • Engaging board members in impactful donor stewardship

The pilot cohort is limited to just 8 participants, ensuring deep connections and meaningful engagement. Sessions run in-person from 9:30 am-11:30 am on April 25, May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, and September 26, 2025, with the kick-off at UMKC and subsequent meetings hosted in participants’ offices across the community. Participants are also encouraged to connect one-on-one or in small groups outside of cohort meetings.

Participation in this program is by application only. Applications will be screened and evaluated to ensure that each cohort has diverse, executive level experiences and viewpoints that will provide maximum benefits to everyone participating.

Don’t miss your chance to grow, learn, and connect with peers who share your passion and challenges in the fundraising field. Application deadline: March 4, 2025.

Cost: $750 per person

Applicants will be notified of their selection status by March 11, 2025. Payment is due by March 28.

Note: Scholarship assistance may be available for the Fundraising Mastermind.
