The Grand Opening of the Plaster Free Enterprise Center, a 57,800-square-foot building providing leading-edge, high-tech research and development capabilities, will take place Friday, October 1st at 10 AM. The event will include:
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony;
- Brief remarks from UMKC Leadership; and,
- Interactive tours of this groundbreaking new space.
Complimentary parking will be available on Levels 4 and 5 of the Rockhill Garage, located at East 52nd and Charlotte Streets.

The Plaster Free Enterprise Center is designed to be a hub for students, faculty, and the Kansas City community to discuss, design, build and innovate. Features of the center include $3 million worth of fabrication and prototyping equipment, industrial and research-grade additive manufacturing equipment (3D printing), high-performance computing and data analytics equipment and software, augmented, virtual and mixed reality equipment and software, FAA-approved Flight Simulator, ISO 6 and 7 cleanroom facilities, and much more!
