This week-long celebration — with events from all four UM System campuses — showcases the impact University engagement and extension programming have on addressing our state's grand challenges. This year, UM System's Extension and Engagement Week takes a closer look at Missouri's health and well-being.
Join us as we hear from Dr. Dwayne Proctor, President, and CEO of the Missouri Foundation For Health who will share a vision of eliminating the underlying causes of health inequities and discuss how existing systems can be transformed to enable individuals and communities to thrive. With the fundamental understanding that this work must be accomplished through partnerships and collaboration, we'll discuss what it would take to create a healthy and thriving community where you live.
With more than 20 of experience, Dr. Proctor was named the President of CEO of the Missouri Foundation for Health in March of 2021. Previously, he worked for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in New Jersey, where he was the senior adviser to the president. Before RWJF, Proctor was an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he taught courses on health communication and marketing to multicultural populations. Proctor received his doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in marketing and communication science from the University of Connecticut.
