How Much Dietary Protein is Too Much?

NextGen Precision Health Discovery Lecture: Dr. Bettina Mittendorfer (In-Person & Virtual)

Products on grocery store shelves often advertise that they contain supplemental protein, from “protein-fortified” cereals to “protein-infused” bottled water. Many popular diets advise shifting your balance of macronutrients to favor proteins over carbohydrates and fats. Protein is essential for the human body, but there’s a common misconception that more is always better. Join us for a free event at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 23 featuring Dr. Bettina Mittendorfer, a University of Missouri expert on metabolic and physical function abnormalities associated with weight and aging. Her research provides insights into how we can think about a “Goldilocks” approach to balancing our individual diets and avoiding overconsumption.

Be part of the conversation with leading edge health researchers at the January installment of the NextGen Discovery Series!
