Impacts on and Responses of China to Global Food and Agricultural Shocks

In person and online

Covid-19 has been the most remarkable shock in the world economy over the past few years. Together with the pandemic, African Swine Fever, trade conflicts with the U.S. have also brought great impact to China's overall economy, especially in the food and agricultural sector. How China is impacted by these shocks and how China copes with and reacts to them are interesting issues to the world, as China has been an active player in the global market in recent decades. Based on past and current facts, China’s possible responses will be discussed.
