Explore careers in science, engineering, mathematics and technology with demonstrations and activities related to each discipline.

July 20 - July 23
Event
Innovations in STEM Camp (iSTEM)

Teambuilding and small group competitions will provide a diverse foundation for learning about one another and what the Missouri S&T campus has to offer.

This camp offers the residential campus experience, with a Makerspace mindset that brings theory and practice together in one challenging finale – the better Mousetrap Car “Tractor Pull”! Engineering is not just about thinking up new things to make, it’s also about making everyday items better. I-STEM campers will participate in hands-on learning and engaging engineering presentations from award-winning faculty.

Campers will be introduced to a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math fields with demonstrations and activities related to each discipline. They will create, build, and find solutions to everyday challenges. Our faculty will connect campers to in-demand STEM fields and areas of exploration where future jobs are waiting.

Prepare to be challenged. Prepare to compete. Prepare to explore. Prepare to think differently.

·    Work as part of a team that solves problems and overcomes STEM challenges

·    Learn about campus life and how you can apply, enroll, and find your own success as a college graduate

·    Practice team-building and effective communication techniques in a group environment

·    Engage in hands-on activities that allow you to explore your STEM creativity and imagination

·    3D scanning and printing

·    Hands-on construction

·    Engineering design competition

·    Departmental visits

·    Have a great deal of fun!

Space is Limited! Early registration is recommended. Campers will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon date of registration and when payment is received. Waiting lists will be maintained and filled in the order that they were received should cancellations occur.
