Lexi Owens, a third-year student at the UMKC School of Pharmacy, was featured in an interview with KY3 News Marshfield, Missouri. Owens, along with other Pharmacy Students, provided nearly 50 residents of Webster County with free flu shots in a drive-through clinic held at the fairgrounds. Owens is quoted as saying “I think we’ve given over 200 shots at the clinics I’ve been at.”
This is the ninth year the School of Pharmacy has been part of the flu shot initiative. It started in 2011 as a collaborative effort with the University’s Healthy for Life wellness program for faculty and staff.
