Writers at Play is a summer middle school writing camp hosted by the Gateway Writing Project for middle school students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the fall of 2025. Participants will engage in daily opportunities for writing, structured exploration, and team building, culminating in a publication celebration on Friday.

The camp is at Refresh Community Church at 829 N Hanley Rd, St. Louis, MO 63130. Programming runs from June 9th - 13th starting at 8:30 and going until 3:00, but parents can drop off as early as 8:00 am.

The cost for the week is $225. If financial constraints would prevent you from attending the program, please apply for our need-based scholarship.
