Missouri S&T would like to invite K-12 schools to participate in a fun educational field trip to Celebration of Nations.
On Saturday, September 20, students can join the Parade of Nations and hold banners, country flags and wear their own cultural clothing as they march through the downtown Rolla area. They are welcome to join the parade or watch from the sidelines. There will be lots of fun giveaways!!
Following the parade, students can experience the world in a day by watching live cultural performances and meeting all the animals in the petting zoo, including the all time favorite, the camels!!
Kummer Center for STEM Education will host three large tents with free hands-on STEM activities for all kids to enjoy. Passports will be given out to all children to encourage them to seek out cultural booths, learn about different countries and earn a stamp in their book.
Students are encouraged to pack a sack lunch and get free ice-cold water at the Rolla Breakfast Rotary Club booth. There will also be great cultural cuisine for a minimal charge.
This is a free family friendly event with over 70 vendors, 50+ entertainers across three stages, and a petting zoo. Don't forget to stop by our Cultural Writing Booth to get your name written in Japanese!
