Project Daylight: Using Theater to Reduce Trauma in Adolescents

The UMKC School of Social Work is working in conjunction with Project Daylight to conduct a program evaluation. Project Daylight has been working with at-risk youth through theater for a number of years. The program would like to have a full evaluation in order to provide data and outcomes to funding institutions. They would ultimately like to expand their reach and work with as many youth as possible.

Impact

Through program evaluation and the collaboration with the School of Social Work Project Daylight will be able to serve more youth in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Additionally, having MSW students engaging in direct practice and research will benefit the community and the populations they serve.
