Saturday Morning Science: Weather Balloons 101 With Eric Aldrich

Weather Balloons 101 With Eric Aldrich

Event
Saturday Morning Science: Weather Balloons 101 With Eric Aldrich

Title: Weather Balloons 101

Speaker: Eric Aldrich, assistant teaching professor of atmospheric science in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources

Learn why we use weather balloons, how they work and how we use them to create meteorological computer models and forecasts for severe weather. If you are curious about atmospheric processes and how meteorologists are able to use information collected to keep the public safe, this is the lecture for you.

Mizzou's Saturday Morning Science events are not your typical science lectures. Expect to be entertained, see demonstrations, learn a lot – and best of all – you'll want to come back for more.

Saturday Morning Science is free and open to the public. No science background is required and all ages are welcome.
