Seasoning the Traditions of our Cultures

Food is the great unifier that connects us across cultures and generations. Our food culture is integrated into our family and societal traditions. Food is often the means of retaining the flavors of our cultural identity — and the bridge that connects us to other cultural heritages! Come and join us! Learn the cultural significance of food in different parts of the world and how we develop traditions around what, where, when and why we eat and drink.

Speakers:

Gerardo Martínez, Director of Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion, UMKC, Session lead
