Chris Wolff returns to share the fascinating history of public transportation in Kansas City. Through images and stories spanning more than 150 years, discover how the system evolved from mule-drawn carts in 1869 to one of the nation’s largest cable car networks, linking downtown Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri, with stops in five counties. Learn why this once-thriving network disappeared—and how streetcars are making a comeback today.
This event is free and open to the public! There will be complimentary parking at the Cherry Street Parking Garage at the corner of Oak and 50th Streets. Please park on the fifth or sixth level.
