About the Speakers:
President Mun Choi: Mun Choi graduated from the University of lllinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in general engineering in 1987. He later earned a master’s degree and doctorate in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University. Choi is president of the University of Missouri System with a joint-appointment as a professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Missouri College of Engineering. He is the 24th president in the history of the University of Missouri System.
Interim Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement Chad Higgins: Since January 2023, Chad Higgins, PhD, has served as University of Missouri interim vice chancellor for extension and engagement and as interim chief engagement officer for the UM System. Previously, Dr. Higgins served as associate vice chancellor for the MU Office of Extension and Engagement.. Before coming to Missouri, Dr. Higgins was senior director of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. He has a doctorate in higher education administration from Louisiana State University.
