Sociology Speaks!, powered by UMSL's Sociology Department, welcomes Dr. Ness Sándoval, Professor at St. Louis University, writer of the newspaper column, Rediscovering America Through Demography, and founding memeber of the Taylor Geospatial Institute, to present his latest research on Saint Louis' evolving demographic landscape and the "demographic winter's" influence on the region's current and long-term socio-economic conditions.
Dr. Sándoval connects data and statistics with policy, helping communities better understand and adapt to the potential impact demographic shifts have on future growth, economic vitality, and the social fabric shaping the lives of the next generation.
