Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet

Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet: The Romantics

February 14 - February 15
Event
Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet
St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

Music Director Stéphane Denève leads a heartfelt program featuring Rachmaninoff’s deeply expressive Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by acclaimed pianist Nikolai Lugansky. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy brings the passion and tragedy of Shakespeare’s lovers to life, while Anna Clyne’s PALETTE, a world premiere commissioned by SLSO, explores the connection between music and art using innovative sonic enhancements. With stunning sound design by Jody Elff and lighting by Luke Kritzeck, this concert at Touhill Performing Arts Center promises a mesmerizing journey through love, emotion, and artistic brilliance.
