The University of Missouri (UM) System is excited to announce an upcoming program expansion to the Veteran’s Initiative in partnership with MU Extension. The Veteran Startup Ventures: Serving Those Who Served program is a five-week course that will guide entrepreneurial veterans through analyzing and developing a business idea, creating business plans, and transforming their plan into action.
As part of the course, participants will have the opportunity to meet with a business counselor, learn business projection and analytics tools, participate in a pitch competition, and more. Additionally, students in the course will learn how to obtain certification as a veteran-owned business from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Currently, the Veteran Startup Ventures program is set to begin in March 2024.
