UMKC Cockefair Chair Presents Dr. Thomas E. Chavez, Benjamin Franklin’s Secret Spanish Connection. Dr. Chavez has spent years studying the little-known story of Franklin’s secretive but pivotal relationship with Spain, a relationship that helped shape the unification of the 13 colonies and the birth of the United States.
