Details: UMKC faculty and staff are invited to participate in the second Annual UMKC Weekend of Service, featuring a special collaboration with the Englewood Arts Center in Independence, MO.

Participants will partner with the Englewood Arts Center to paint a new street art project. No previous arts experience is necessary.

Participants will also hear from neighborhood leaders about their plans for future neighborhood revitalization and tour the Englewood Arts Center which is currently under construction.

The group size will be limited to 10 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot quickly. If space is available, this opportunity is open to the family members and children (age 10+) of UMKC faculty and staff.

Englewood Arts assists the community by developing residential and commercial incentives, public art, art events, art programs, philanthropy, and community outreach solutions, which result in a thriving community with engagement and pride. The Englewood Art District hopes to prominently display public art as part of its overall design and as a way to create a distinctive neighborhood
