To encourage, strengthen, and celebrate UMKC's ongoing commitment to the community, UMKC Provost, Dr. Jennifer Lundgren, has commissioned a new UMKC Engagement Council.
The council is charged with creating a culture of engagement at UMKC and will invite diverse perspectives and experiences from across the campus and community to inform and advise the engagement efforts of the institution.
Council membership was designed to provide holistic representation from faculty, staff, and students; and represents all respective colleges within the University. Additionally, several community organizations will have a seat on the council, giving a distinct voice to the Kansas City Community.
The council will convene for the first time this spring and will be co-chaired by Troy Lillebo, Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Relations, and Dr. Brent Never, Associate Professor of Public Affairs.
