UMKC TalentLink Community Launch

UMKC TalentLink provides expert-led professional development and training for those seeking practical career skills and knowledge. TalentLink also works directly with local businesses to upskill employees and develop talent. Training courses and certificate programs are available in-person and virtually, instructor-led or self-paced, and can be tailored and designed to meet an employer’s development needs.

Event
UMKC TalentLink Community Launch

UMKC TalentLink will host an event on October 21 to mark UMKC Engagement Month, highlight our professional development mission and programs, and celebrate our official community launch.

Guest speaker Jennifer Schnack, Vice President of Employee Talent, Development & Experience for T-Mobile, will discuss professional skills development in relation to workforce planning, the importance of learning agility and optimizing workforces.

UMKC Chancellor Mauli Agrawal will provide opening remarks about TalentLink, a UMKC Forward investment to advance career growth through professional development and training.

TalentLink Executive Director Jake Akehurst will highlight key initiatives, including skills-driven professional development for businesses, a workforce development partnership, and credentialing assistance resources for the military.

Complimentary breakfast buffet and networking time included. Free parking is available in Cherry Street Garage (5009 Oak).
