You are invited to nominate worthy individuals, initiatives, organizations, and businesses for any of the three categories of awards. Nomination forms are available on the UMKC Trustees website. You can also see a list of previous award recipients.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 31, at 5 pm.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD

This award recognizes a business or organization for its ongoing and indispensable partnership that strengthens UMKC. The recipient’s support is essential to the university’s success, a critical component in fulfilling its urban-serving mission and improving the quality of life in the region.

LEO E. MORTON COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

This award recognizes UMKC departments and individuals contributing to the community through innovative services, programs, and/or projects that strengthen the relationship between the university and the community, ensuring that UMKC remains embedded in the fabric of the community.

VISION FORWARD AWARD (new award)

This award recognizes a new or emerging initiative from either UMKC or the community at large. The recipient demonstrates the spirit of discovery and innovation with promising outcomes that enhance the quality of life in Kansas City and/or support the university’s urban-serving mission.
