The UMKC School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) Alumni Association, SCE Student Council, and SCE Alumni Relations Office continues its Rise & Shine Speaker Series this winter with discussion focusing on 5G.

Upcoming Webinar on 5G

During the webinar, industry professionals will serve as panelists and discuss the varying aspects of 5G technology and infrastructure as well as what 5G means for the future of communications.


Panelists include Bill Holick, Head of Site Acquisition Practice Group in North America for Ericsson and Matthew Olson, Vice President and managing director of the Networks, Integration and Automation Group at Burns & McDonnell. Combined, the panelists have nearly four decades of industry experience.


The Rise & Shine series, which typically takes place annually in the fall, is a morning speaker series which presents topics with interdisciplinary aspects to make them relevant to professionals on several levels. The upcoming Rise & Shine session takes place February 26, 2021, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM (CST).
