"We Read Our Lives", with Susana Alexander
Covering the classics of literature in Spanish, Susana Alexander, a renowned Mexican television and film actress, will encourage young audiences to read and teaches the value of language and the history of Hispanic cultures.
Susana Alexander has participated in numerous soap operas, such as Súbete a mi moto and Blind Date, and films such as Grandma's birthday and Grandma's wedding. In addition, she has starred in many plays and dramatic and comedic monologues.
This is a free show and suitable for the whole family. It will be hosted from 6:30-7:30 PM in room 151 of the Miller Nichols Libary on the campus of UMKC (800 E 51st Street). Parking will be available just north of the building in UMKC Lot 4. Registration is required. The first 150 children in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a free book in both English and Spanish from Turn the Page KC.
