The Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center is a landmark performance facility on the UMSL campus built to provide a performance home for campus events, academic programs, and regional arts organizations.
MLK Day of Service
A day of service on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the MLK Day of Service volunteer event is coordinated by UMSL students in collaboration with several community agencies and service organizations.
Charter schools Office
UMSL’s Charter Schools Office sponsors seven public charter schools in the city of St. Louis. Roughly 3000 students attend these schools.
Girls’ Adventures in Mathematics Competition
Girls’ Adventures in Math is a team-based math competition for girls in grades 3-8. Our competition presents some of the most challenging and innovative math problems to students in this age group, contextualized in a comic book containing the stories of pioneering women from history.
September Start-Up Series
Faculty from the UMSL College of Education engaged more than 75 local educators in a workshop series focused on strategies for digital instruction.
Neighborhood Leadership Academy
Neighborhood Leadership Academy provides hands-on leadership training emphasizing community building principles, organizational leadership and management practices, and personal leadership skills. The program connects resources at University of Missouri-St. Louis (Community Partnership Project, Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program, and MU Extension) to residents and neighborhoods wanting to create more livable communities.
Neighborhood Leadership Fellows
The Neighborhood Leadership Fellows (NLF), is an advanced leadership program through Creating Whole Communities representing a partnership of UMSL, MU Extension, and St. Louis Promise Zone. NLF aims to increase North St. Louis City and County residents’ participation in civic decision-making tables in order to produce more equitable regional policies for neighborhoods.
Nicholas and Theodora Matsakis Hellenic Culture Center
The Nicholas and Theodora Matsakis Hellenic Culture Center at tUMSL is a place where scholars, students, and community members are welcome to immerse themselves in the culture and history of Greece – both international and locally. The Center is a resource for political, educational, cultural, travel, and business information.
UMSL Recreation & Wellness Center
More than just a place to exercise, the Recreation and Wellness Center to provide a spot for all members to stay, play, and connect on the UMSL Campus. Our goal is to provide an inclusive and comprehensive set of programs and services that cater to the needs of the students, faculty, staff and community members. Our offerings focus on promoting health, wellness, recreation, and fun. Everyone is encouraged to participate and join the fun!
Missouri Veterans History Project
The volunteers of MVHP interview and record oral histories of our Veterans. The recordings are shared with The State Historical Society of Missouri, the U.S. Library of Congress and the Veteran.
