The Arianna String Quartet’s Outreach Programs bring the timeless vitality of string quartet playing to audiences of all ages and in a wide variety of settings and contexts, nurturing interest in classical music through engaging insights, activities, and programs.

The Sue Shear Leadership Academy is an intensive week-long residential leadership development program designed to inspire civic engagement and encourage women’s public sector leadership. The program brings together college women from MO universities across the political spectrum to discuss the roles of women in leadership and politics.

UMSL Literacy Clinic

The Literacy Clinic is a collaborative learning project that focuses on the preparation of future teacher leaders and researchers. Taking place at school sites and online, teachers in UMSL Literacy Clinics provide reading and writing assessment and instruction to children, adolescents and adults in the community.

Green St. Louis Machine

The Green St. Louis Machine (GSM) is an educational initiative focused on promoting healthy eating, engaging students in STEM practices, and developing skills in urban agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

St. Louis Regional Data Alliance

Housed and supported in the Community Innovation and Action Center at UMSL, the St. Louis Regional Data Alliance builds shared data infrastructure and supports strong data actors who use quality data to improve people’s lives.

STLCyberCon: UMSL’s Annual Cybersecurity Conference

STLCyberCon is a unique annual cybersecurity conference that features presentations by industry experts and academic researchers. It also includes a “Capture the Flag” competition for students and practitioners, a community IT job fair, and research poster presentations. The conference is free and open to the public.

Thread STL

As the bedrock of the Community Innovation and Action Center at UMSL’s emerging portfolio of strategies to strengthen the region’s many community partnerships and coalitions, Thread STL is a community of practice that brings together partnership leaders for facilitated peer-to-peer connection, coaching, and problem solving.
