The food manufacturing industry links producers to consumers and provides over 48,000 jobs in Missouri. This session will provide an overview of this important industry and major statewide trends. In addition, panelists will discuss some of the macro forces, research and work throughout the four University of Missouri System universities related to this industry, including changing food prices and consumer preferences, location decision-making and supply chain limits.
