Center for Behavioral Health

The Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) is a not-for-profit outpatient mental health center established by the University of Missouri-St. Louis to provide psychological services to residents of the St. Louis metropolitan area. Since 1977, Center for Behavioral Health (CBH) staff have worked to promote excellence in the counseling and psychological evaluation services provided to the community. CBH is committed to offering high-quality, timely, and affordable services to individuals who would not otherwise be able to afford professional mental health care. To learn more about our St. Louis City and County, Franklin County, Jefferson County, or St. Charles County no-cost evaluation programs, please visit the appointment page. Call today to schedule an appointment: 314-516-4357 or 314-516-HELP. We provide affordable, comprehensive psychological evaluation services for both adults and children. This includes Assessment, Child and Family Therapy, Adult Therapy, Therapy for Older Adults and their Families, Couples Counseling, and Group Therapy.

We are committed to providing high quality, affordable counseling and evaluation services to adults, couples, children, and families, and to training effective, empathetic psychologists.

Impact

Since 2012, the Center for Behavioral Health has partnered with school districts in St. Louis County and with the St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund to provide no-cost psychological evaluations to underserved children and adolescents. The success of this program in providing early detection of mental health conditions in children has led to expansion of services across the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Today CBH partners with 45 St. Louis area school districts, covering 11 counties and the City of St. Louis. Each year we are contacted by over 3,000 St. Louis area families seeking help.
