Psychological Science Community Internships

Each spring the Missouri S&T department of Psychological Science offers clinical and industrial organization internships within the local community. Students work 90 hours in a placement to learn first-hand how psychology is applied in different settings.

Project Lead the Way

Through $250,000 in state funds, Missouri S&T is providing Project Lead the Way grants to school districts in 10 south-central Missouri counties. A total of 41 school districts are eligible for the grants.

S&T Students Providing Project Management Services

Students in Dr. Joan Schuman’s Introduction to Project Management course provide project management services to small, rural communities.

Missouri Local Training and Resource Center

The Missouri Local Training and Resource Center provides training and education for Missouri communities to help them improve the quality and safety of their roads, bridges and highways.

Free Tutoring for K-12 Students

Missouri S&T’s teacher education and certification department is offering free tutoring for students of faculty, staff and community members.

Interdisciplinary practicum & community organization partnership

The Engineering Management senior design classes and Industrial-Organizational Psychology MS program partner with Phelps Health to help the organization address a community health issue. Undergraduate and graduate students provide consultation and data are collected by the instructors to study the effectiveness of this new practicum structure.
